About Me
Hello, I am Lee Sharp.
A Production Sound Mixer with 15 years experience in scripted Television Drama available throughout the UK and overseas.
I take great pride with my team for being highly attentive, quick to change setup for quick moves and problem solving in high pressure situations, whilst flying under the radar. We give the director as much support as we can, whether this is a chat in the morning or finding solutions that do not compromise the picture during the shoot but still enable us to capture high quality performances from the cast.
I carry a vast array of sound equipment, everything you could need for any shoot, from a simple documentary to a major feature film. This enables us to react quickly and facilitate any demands or needs at very short notice, without compromising the schedule.
-------------------
I started down the road to production sound first being captivated with the production side of amateur musical theatre and progressed to study music and engineering at the University of Salford. I further studied and completed a Master degree in sound design at the University of Edinburgh, focusing on audio installations. Whilst studying I joined a short film as a boom operator and from then on I knew this was the career for me.
My first break into Television drama was as a sound trainee on Downton Abbey, this was definitely a hit the ground running entry into the drama world, since then I have continuously strived to be a dedicated Production Sound Mixer.
I have also worked as a boom operator and sound assistant working on BAFTA and EMMY award winning television dramas made in the UK.
Conscientious, dedicated and always an obliging team player!
